It’s official! Kanye, Ye, West and Adidas have finally settled all claims, two years after their turbulent ending as a collaborative project. In today’s article, we are going to be discussing some of the key highlights to take away from the outcome of this shocking headline. So, without further ado, let’s begin. Adidas has finally reached an out-of-court settlement with rapper and fashion mogul, Kanye West. Kanye, who also goes by Ye, has agreed with Adidas to withdraw all legal claims linked to Adidas to end their partnership officially. Statements were given by Adidas’ CEO Bjorn Gulden as he came out and stated that “There weren’t any more open issues and both parties are to move forward.” Gulden also said that “There were tensions from both parties on a number of issues but after a verdict, we both said we do not need to fight anymore, and both parties withdrew all claims.” This major headline first hit the tabloids after Ye uploaded some controversial anti-semetic tweets which were completely uncalled for but not out of character. This isn’t the first time that Kanye West has been a controversial character in the public eye. This led Adidas to terminate his contract, but what happened to the remaining stock in the warehouses and stores? There was apparel and sneakers left collecting dust in warehouses which valued for over $1.2 billion! So, instead of wasting these brand-new packaged goods, Adidas decided to sell the remaining stock, however on the condition that a significant amount of profits will be donated to charities and organisations that were affected by the statements West posted to his social media platforms. This fiasco has been unfolding on and off since 2022 and this is finally the end of a long road for the German sportsbrand and rapper. After over a decade of loyal partnership, Yeezy and Adidas are no more.
