For most people, Halloween was a non-starter this year, with restrictions meaning the usual festivities were unfortunately cancelled. But for sneakerheads, however, October 31st marked the arrival of the Yeezy Boost 380 “Calcite Glow”, which was cause for at least some minor celebration.
The “Calcite Glow” comes as part of an upcoming slew of 380 releases, and what better time of year to release a stunning glow-in-the-dark iteration of this stylish silhouette than on the spookiest day of the year? Shame there was nowhere to flex ‘em… there’s always next year though… maybe!
Dressed in a triple white and grey Primeknit upper, this is undoubtedly one of the cleanest 380 colourways to date. The yellow stripe along the shoe’s lateral will light up in the dark, ensuring this rendition commands attention with every step you take. Elsewhere, it’s a familiar story, with the perforated holes along both sides, the low-key lacing system and angled ankle portion with additional padding marking the shoe’s signature style.
Down below the midsole utilizes a full bed of Boost technology for an uber-comfortable fit, which is mated to a translucent outsole that sticks to the light and airy colour palette found elsewhere on the shoe. All in all, this is a stunning colourway from Yeezy who have chosen to pay particular attention to the Boost 380 silhouette with five new iterations set to land before the year’s out.
