A Look Ahead to the Yeezy 700 V3 “Safflower”

If you’ve been waiting in anticipation for the upcoming Yeezy 700 V3 “Safflower” then hang in there as there’s only another week to go until the shoe’s finally launched.

Since it was first announced, the “Safflower” has been delayed and even had a new name after Yeezy decided to start removing religious references from their shoes, but next Friday that wait is finally over as the yellow-infused colourway is set to land at long last.

With a yellow and white Primeknit upper combined with black on the lacing and tongue, this colour scheme is bold without ever being over-the-top – perfect for those who like a little colour but prefer footwear that’s isn’t too “in your face”.

Perfect, that is, if you’re a fan of this particular silhouette. While the 700 V3 has built up somewhat of a cult following among the sneaker community, there are plenty out there who aren’t exactly fans of the style so every time a new colourway is released it’s guaranteed to divide opinion. This time around is set to be no different, although you can bet your last pound you’ll see it on the resale market for multiple times its original retail value in the coming months. It’s a strange old world in Sneakerville!

Rounding off the look is the chunky midsole that forbodes the usual Boost technology in favour of an EVA foam underfoot instead. While this particular midsole might not carry the same weight in terms of the branding, the shoe’s no less comfortable than its counterparts.

If you’re hoping to cop a pair of these when they’re rolled out next week, make sure you’re quick or they might sell out fast. If you’re unlucky and end up missing out, head to the Laced.co.uk resale market as there’s guaranteed to be pairs of the Yeezy 700 V3 “Safflower” on there for a reasonable price.
