As the festive season starts to creep up on us, Nike have decided to get all Christmassy by releasing the Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch”. In fact, it’ll arrive on Christmas Eve, just in time for the arrival of Saint Nick!
Originally released back in 2010, this is a reissue and comes in the same Green Apple, Crimson, Volt and Black colour combination seen last time around. Save for one or two minor improvements, it’s pretty much as you were, and the model is near-identical to the one worn by Kobe Bryant himself when the late basketball legend was still strutting his stuff around the court.
With a volt green textured upper, contrasting black Swooshes and red on the tongue and laces, they don’t come much more eye-catching than this one, and all that sits on top of a flexible Air unit to provide unbounded comfort whether you’re on or off the court.
A pair of the original issues are hot property right now, fetching some eye-watering fees on the secondary market. Currently, if you wanted to pick up a pair then you’d need to fork out around £1000, so if you’re hoping to cop some once this reissue goes on sale then you’d better be on you’re A-game to stand any chance of success.
The resellers will be doing their all to scoop any available stock, so you might struggle to bag a pair given the popularity last time around. If you don’t manage to cop any, don’t panic as you’ll be able to get some on the Laced.co.uk resale market.
Laced stock many of the market’s most sought-after styles from the likes of Air Jordan, Yeezy and more, so if rare and exclusive sneakers are your thing then head over there now and check out the massive selection of styles on offer!
