A Quick Look at The Air Jordan 1 High OG ‘Hand Crafted’

You’d think after so many years, the Air Jordan 1 would be a dead silhouette. First released in 1985, the Air Jordan 1 may be the single most recognisable sneaker on the planet! Now, more than 35 years later, Nike and Michael Jordan are still wowing fans and sneakerheads around the world with their evermore innovative and striking Air Jordan 1 colourways.

One particularly notable upcoming release is the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Hand Crafted”. This gorgeous sneaker has captured the attention of sneakerheads in the run up to its release, most of all for it’s incredible colour blocking and the addition of a newer block – light grey on this colourway – which acts as a beautiful frame for the collar and heel.

Apart from two sections in bold black – the leather collar and iconic profile Swoosh – and two sections in pure white – the quarter panel and toe box – this entire colourway is kitted out with colour blocking in purple, grey, brown, and green.

The brown suede toe cap leads beautifully up to the mossy green eyelets, which give the front of this sneaker a natural, earthy feel, while the brown collar panel and matching Air Jordan wings logo gives the feeling of quality, like a well-worn leather jacket. Meanwhile, the purple heel panel adds in a splash of brighter colour, but still opts for a more muted shade of purple than could have been chosen.

All in all, this stunning colourway combines colours that most would never have predicted seeing together, and yet somehow, it works! The result is a strikingly attractive sneaker with a genuinely interesting colour theme. Adding the final detail to this piece are its awesome two-tone laces, which start off black, blending perfectly with the black tongue, but then suddenly change to a neon-esque, highlighter tone of orange, which matches the Nike Air logo on both the inner sole and atop the tongue.

These unique Air Jordan 1s hit retail for around £144.95 on the Nike website, and are available on resale for £165+, so be sure to grab your pair before that price climbs further!
