A Sneak Peek at The Stone Island x New Balance RC Elite

After just under two weeks since Stone Island first took to Instagram to give their fans a slight taste of what was to come with the well-known brand, New Balance, they have now released the details of the all-new RC Elite racing shoe. Whilst it might not have been what some fans were expecting to come from this “long term partnership” between the two brands, we’re sure that a lot of individuals will absolutely love this shoe!

I think it’s safe to say both New Balance and Stone Island have not held back on going all out of the design for this sneaker; on the left shoe you have Stone Island’s instantly recognisable compass logo, while on the right you have some very distinct branding from New Balance featuring their classic NB lettering.

The trainer itself has a very breathable upper, alongside New Balance’s highest rebound midsole compound with a full-length carbon fibre plate for maximised energy return. As well as that it has a midsole section cut out for weight reduction and plate visibility, followed by a perforated outsole for even more weight reduction and increased traction.

However, this collaboration as a whole isn’t the only thing that’s mind blowing, the way you can cop a pair of these shoes is as well! To be able to grab yourself a pair, you will have to go to one of the selected Stone Island stores where you will be able to preview the trainers via a tablet. The whole experience will be on an iPad and then you will finish on the Stone Island website to complete the purchase. This preview will be available from the 7th to the 10th of October, so if you want to grab yourself a sneak peak in advance, you need to act quickly! These instantly iconic sneakers will be released on the Stone Island web store on October 12th!

We think that this collaboration is definitely going to bring us many amazing new silhouettes and colourways like this in the future, and we absolutely love this pair that has kick started their partnership! Their marketing tactics are interesting as well, allowing a sneak preview only for fans dedicated enough to visit a store is a unique way of building anticipation and excitement! What do you think? Will you be heading to a Stone Island store to grab a first proper glimpse at these sneakers?
