Mock-ups of the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Canvas” colourway took sneakerheads by surprise when they dropped in late summer 2021. Now, a year since their March 2022 release date, we’re taking a closer look at the Air Jordan 3 “Canvas” to see if they’re worth adding to your collection.
Featuring a unique build, the “Canvas” colourway is constructed from a canvas upper that gives the sneakers a rustic and earthy appeal. Combining colours like Muslin, University Red, Cement Grey and Sail, this Air Jordan 3 silhouette isn’t taking any survivors, and this reflected in the intense anticipation for release day amongst the sneakerhead community.
The natural canvas uppers is where you’ll find the Muslin hue which is surprisingly earthy and gives the sneakers a first impression that’s difficult to forget. Cement Grey can be found in suede that wraps around the toe and heel. Surprisingly, the “Canvas” colourway neglects to include the iconic Air Jordan 3 cow print anywhere, which may leave a sour taste in the mouth of dedicated fans of the AJ3. However, the addition of University Red detailing on the eyelets, tongue branding and heel branding certainly makes up for it. The look is completed with a grey rubber outsole.
This colourway was released on March 26th, 2022. As always, the Air Jordan 3 “Canvas” silhouette dropped on Nike.com and select retailers, before swiftly hitting the resale market. Since hitting resale, the average price of these incredible sneakers has dropped as the initial hype died down, so there’s never been a better time to grab yourself a pair!
