Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishmoto. It is one of the best-selling Manga series and most-watched Anime series of all time. The story follows a young ninja, Naruto, who is aiming to achieve the title of Hokage, the village’s leader.
Air Jordans have created this genius collaboration between themselves and the Japanese phenomenon and here at KickSupplier, we are super excited for this release.
Designed by anime fan and professional basketball player, Zion Williamson, this collaboration is set to be a fan favourite across the globe. Official images were revealed in early February and it has sent sneaker heads wild.
The Air Jordan team have chosen a lovely blue to match the colour of the Rasengan, which is Naruto’s signature move, and at the tongue of the shoe, there’s a shaped yellow fringe, recreating Naruto’s iconic hair.
The fun doesn’t stop there, on the sole of the shoe, there’s a Rasengan. On the front part of the tongue on the shoe, they have added in Zion’s logo and the Jordan logo on a metal appliqué. Decorated on the inside of the shoe is the phrase Dattebayo (だってばよ) on one side of the shoe and on the other side it has the English version, which translates to “Believe It!”
The shoes will be released on the 20th of February, and are the second installation of Naruto-themed sneakers that Williamson has designed. His first signature sneaker launch with Jordan, named the Zion 1’s, was released in three Naruto-themed colours. However, the 2023 version of the Jordan 37s that Williamson has designed have been with more detail and overall a better colour palette.
According to Google, this highly-anticipated Naruto x Air Jordan 37 collab will be available to purchase at Nike.com and from selected Jordan Brand stockists. Several sneaker sites have rumoured these sneakers to cost around $130, but this has not been officially confirmed yet.
