To help shake off the quarantine blues, Nike have been re-releasing a number of classic colourways for the Nike Dunk Low SP. Next on the roster is the “University Red” colourway, the famed Air Jordan colour scheme for the legendary AJ1.
This look is the second release of the “Team Jones” pack. We’ve already been treated to the first release of this pack in the form of the “Brazil” colourway: The green and yellow samba-style look that was a huge hit back in March.
The “Brazil” look sold out in no time, so we expect the red and white look to follow suit. The “University Red” colourway is reminiscent of the “Be True to Your School” collection back in ’85, as well as ‘05’s “St Johns”.
This is a simple colourway, but an all time effective classic. White leather quarters, toeboxes and collar and padded mesh make up the bulk of the shoe with red mudguards, Swoosh branding, eyestays, heel and laces sitting over the top. This is finished with a white midsole atop a bright red outsole.
It’s a fresh colourway which is dripping in summer aesthetic. And with the weather heating up we expect these to be a must have cop all around the world. These will also go great to classic rotations and whilst this is counted in the “Team Jones” pack as their official second release, it also fits in nicely with the “Be True to your school” collection so far in 2020, behind the “Syracuse” and “Kentucky” styles.
This new Nike Dunk Low SP “University Red” will be dropping at Nike stores and on the Nike SNKRS app on June 12 for around $100 (£80.65).
