Fans of the adidas Originals Rivalry Low who are partial to a bit of bling, hold onto your hats as the silhouette is about to receive a shiny makeover from none other than Swarovski.
The Austrian jewellery company has teamed up with the German sportswear giant to give the popular silhouette an opulent twist.
Following on from the crystal-laden Superstar design that was released last month, the two European powerhouses have decided to collaborate once more, this time bringing the shimmer to the Rivalry Low, which features a row of orange crystals along the medial and lateral Three Stripe branding.
The colour scheme on this new design is a familiar one, as it sticks with the traditional dress of the New York Knicks. The team’s iconic white, blue and orange has been an ever-present since the Rivalry Low first hit the shelves way back in the mid-80s, and to this day it remains an integral part of the silhouette’s identity.
“Cloud white” leather uppers combine with blue accents on the shoe’s branding, midsole and liners, and completing the look is the orange found on the tongue, heel and Swarovski crystals that are without doubt the real star of the show.
Dozens of crystals are also found on the heel tab and the tongue’s Trefoil logo, giving the trainers a bedazzling shimmer that truly comes to life under light, creating an eye-catching look that’s guaranteed to turn heads.
The Swarovski x adidas Originals Rivalry Low is set to drop on adidas.com and with select retailers on September 24. The price of the trainers will be somewhere in the range of £90.
