Sales figures show the Air Jordan 1 Mids now outsell the Highs by two-to-one in the UK, although the release schedule for the lower cut style has been somewhat subdued of late, with Jordan Brand seemingly giving priority to the taller model.
However, fans of the lower cut Air Jordan will be pleased to know a new mid is currently in the works, and true to form for the Jumpman team of late, it’s got crowd-pleaser written all over it.
Titled the “Arctic Orange”, the tri-colour makeup comprises a white leather base, which combines with black on the Swooshes, laces and insole to deliver the silhouette’s classic look. Completing the colour scheme is the titular orange hue utilised on the tongue tag, Air Jordan branding and treading, ensuring this new colourway is another worthy addition to the ever-expanding back catalogue.
Currently, this forthcoming release is only scheduled to arrive in Grade School sizing, although if it proves as popular as some of the recent Air Jordan releases, we may well see this one in full family sizing in the not-too-distant future.
As ever it’ll drop online or with select retailers, but at the time of writing, no official release date has been put forward just yet. All we know for sure is the upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid “Arctic Orange” is expected to arrive in the coming weeks so it should drop just in time for the arrival of the warm weather. Stay tuned for updates on this one when they land.
