When it dropped around a month ago, it’s safe to say the adidas Yeezy 450 divided opinion. The long-awaited silhouette, which arrived in the “Cloud White” colourway, sold out in next to no time, although it was slaughtered online by some who simply couldn’t say enough bad things about Ye’s latest creation.
Haters look away now, although if you were one of the sneakerheads who couldn’t get enough of the introductory colourway then you’re in for a real treat, as the second instalment of the 450 has been revealed. Titled the “Dark Slate”, the forthcoming offering follows in the footsteps of the “Cloud White”, with identical specs and a monochromatic outfit – this time in midnight black.
With a distinctive makeup consisting of the trademark Yeezy Primeknit uppers, along with the tooth-like, jagged midsole, the 450 is one of Ye’s most outlandish designs to date and it’s guaranteed to command attention every step of the way.
Despite receiving a tonne of flack, last month’s 450 sold out in next to no time, so expect more of the same when this one lands. If you’re keen on copping and you’re unsuccessful, you’ll be able to pick up a pair on the secondary market, although they won’t come cheap. The “Cloud White” is currently fetching between £360 and £500 on Laced.co.uk.
Although no official release date has been confirmed, rumour has it the Yeezy 450 “Dark Slate” will arrive this spring, so you might just be able to add this one to your collection in time for the warmer weather.
