Japan-Exclusive Air Jordan 1 Hi “Tokyo” Coming Soon

Japan has always been a huge market for Jordan Brand, and every so often the Nike imprint
rewards that support with an exclusive release.
Next up and the latest in a long line of Japan-only exclusive is the Air Jordan 1 Hi “Tokyo”,
an all-silver update to the iconic silhouette which pays homage to a near identical version
that arrived back in 2001 as part of the Co.JP pack.
Whereas back then just 2,001 pairs were created, this time the space-age colourway comes
on a wider scale so it should be easier to get your hands on some – if you’re located in
Japan, that is!
The uppers are made from a combination of matte and gloss silver panels, the former
arriving on both the base and overlays, while the latter is seen on the perforated toe box,
ankle collars and heel. Also given the shiny treatment is the trademark Nike Swoosh, as well
as the Air Jordan wings logo which is seen in its traditional location on the lateral side of the
collar.
Down below the colour palette deviates slightly with a white midsole, while the treading
returns to the silver/grey hues found on the rest of the shoe.
The Nike Air Force 1 “Hi “Tokyo” will arrive sometime in February, although an exact date
has yet to be revealed. What we do know is it’ll arrive in Japan, before a general global
release is expected later in the year. Stay tuned for updates.
