The 90s are always an easy go-to if you’re looking for a retro throwback. And why not, compared to now, the 90s were an easier time, when clothing and trainers were being experimented on with vibrant designs and experimental colourways. Cliques were much more identifiable back in the 90s, too; which is where Ben Hundred has drawn inspiration – more specifically, from his own 90’s experience – for the new Puma pack.
The Hundred’s brand is one that brings different looks together and Ben Hundred uses this new collection to show why he chose to do that. As one of the “Inbetweeners” kids who would bounce between the Jocks, Preps, Skaters and Geek Cliques of the 90s, he knows a thing or two about all of them without judging.
Here in 2020 it is easier to dress exactly how you like, mixing trends and styles from different groups and sub-groups without looking, or feeling, out of place. To celebrate this Puma and The Hundred have developed a collection that celebrates all of the different cliques with four categories: “Jocks”, “Preps”, “Party Crew” and a “2020” set for modern youth styles.
The whole collection encompasses entire ensembles from head to foot and is packed out witch clothing as well as new trainers. The new trainer colourway designs that made the cut are new iterations of “Leadcat”, “Slides”, “Palace”, “Performer” and “RS Pure”. The collection also boasts several new colourways of the famous “Clyde”.
The collection drops on April 30 at thehundreds.com with more being added as the days go by. The sneaker collection drop will be staggered throughout the week to suit demand.
