Initially an understated release from YEEZY and adidas, the “Sesame” colourway has grown amongst fans into a cult classic and a timeless look that has made it one of the most sought after colourways almost two years after its initial drop day.
This shoe took the YEEZY pastel colour scheme and picked out a very mild colouring, with no vibrancy or added features; they even put aside the alternate side stripe to add an added depth and stuck with a single colour scheme for the entire shoe.
This resulted in a cream, sesame coloured Primeknit upper atop a cream and gum rubber outsole and sesame coloured tubular lacing and heel tab. People tend to throw the words, “muted” and “understated” at this look but this look fits seamlessly in almost any rotation and deserves all the praise it gets, even to this day.
With all YEEZY looks the price has had its peaks and troughs on the resale market. On some sites their options are around £600 but you can still find sizes for between £300-400 on most resale markets.
This is a shoe that fans would love to see a restock of, especially with so few currently in circulation, making it difficult to get a hold of a pair without splashing the cash.
This shoe is still a timeless classic and we are just hoping and praying for the day that it is given a restock. The “Sesame” was one of YEEZY’s best pastel colourways – and continues to be – and will always demand high prices on the resale market.
